『Take Me Back』

In this song, I interpreted the phrase “take me back” not simply as a wish to return to the past, but as an attempt to reconnect with someone’s heart once again.

“Give me your number” is not just about asking for a phone number.

To me, it feels more like searching for a number that could somehow connect you directly to another person’s heart.

Late at night, alone,

you quietly call out to someone you may no longer be able to reach.

And then comes the reply:

“Here I am.”

But there is no way to know whether that voice truly belongs to the other person,

or whether it is only a memory of them still answering from somewhere inside you.

The more “Take me back” is repeated,

the more the boundaries between past and present, between you and the other person, begin to blur.

to a distant heart that has drifted away 』

That is the moment I wanted to portray through my own interpretation of 『Take Me Back』.

“Give me your number” は、ただ電話番号を尋ねているのではなく、

あなたの心へつながるための番号を探しているような言葉。

深夜、一人きりの場所から、

もう届かないかもしれない相手へ静かに呼びかける。

そして返ってくる “Here I am”。

それが本当に相手の声なのか、

自分の中に残っている記憶が答えているだけなのかは分かりません。

“Take me back” と繰り返すほど、

過去と現在、相手と自分、その境界が少しずつ曖昧になっていく。

『 離れてしまったどこかの心へ、

もう一度だけつながろうとする 』

そんな時間を、自分なりの『Take Me Back』として描きました。
