It Never Left [Todd Terry - House Is Back (Club Mix)] lyrics

you say it's back.

it never left.

new name every year.

same floor.

everybody borrowed something.

house just kept giving.

a thousand names.

still one thing. you know.

they put it in an ad.

they put it on a poster.

they put a price on the feeling.

same four chords. new logo.

big stage. big screen.

big money. you know.

it got shiny.

it got loud in the wrong way.

you say it's back.

it never left.

it's been here. the whole time. you know.

it's not the tools.

it's who's holding them.

the floor knows.

the floor always knows.

you say it's back.

it never left.

it's been here. the whole time. you know.

YOU SAY IT'S BACK???

IT NEVER LEFT!!!

IT'S BEEN HERE! !!1

THE WHOLE TIME!!! you know...

small labels. no logo.

net radio. a few friends with a key.

collectives. no name on the door.

they never stopped.

they never made a fuss.

patience. soul. the years.

you can hear it. you know.

white label. hand-stamped.

pressed for the ones who ask.

you say it's back.

it never left!
